Interior Designer - Corporate Interiors / 2016 WA Best Places to Work
Grow your interior design career with a firm that has been described by our team as collaborative, creative, flexible, welcoming, dynamic, rewarding, happy and fun.
JPC Architects is a leading commercial interior architecture and design firm located in Bellevue, WA. We were founded in 1986 to support Microsoft’s relocation to their Redmond campus. Today, we are the go-to interior architecture firm for the tech industry in the Puget Sound. Our clients have included Microsoft, Google, Pandora, Twitter, Zillow, Expedia, Go Daddy, Pokémon, and many other high-profile and start-up companies. Corporate, retail, medical, and dental projects complete our portfolio.
We are looking for a mid-career / intermediate level Interior Designer to strategize and collaborate with team members to develop high-quality, innovative interior design solutions that meet our clients’ vision, timelines and budget. You will complete full interior design packages from programming and space planning to construction documents and construction administration. That means you will be expected to create viable, insightful, creative, efficient, high-quality space plans; drawing sets that are comprehensive, complete, accurate and meaningfully executed; finish schemes and product recommendations that are well-researched, attractive, innovative, cohesive, appropriate and executable; high-quality material boards and electronic presentations.
We don’t do hierarchy at JPC, and we value our no-ego culture. That means we are adaptable and approachable. We work hard, but we also offer a high-level of flexibility so you can respond to situations in your personal life.
If you feel at home with micromanagement, office politics, hidden agendas, or nasty personalities, please don’t apply. On the other hand, if your idea of career growth is building trust, being heard, contributing your best ideas and executing creative solutions to improve our clients’ workplaces, we welcome your application.
Realistically, you must have a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture and enough experience to be able to achieve the results listed above. To be effective, you will need a well-rounded skillset that includes technical, design and emerging project management skills. You will need strong design judgment, graphic and visualization skills, programming and conceptualization skills, combined with the technical skills (Revit, AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign, Sketch Up, MS Office, etc.), code knowledge, field observation and documentation skills needed to translate your designs into well-crafted construction documents that can be easily understood and executed by contractors.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
JPC offers competitive compensation that includes bonus potential. We have excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D and LTD insurance as well as 401k, free parking/bus pass and an on-site fitness center with free classes twice a week for our employees.
